An international hotel franchisor operating thousands of properties across multiple brands launched a limited-time 10% discount for stays of two or more nights and needed to determine the promotion’s incremental profitability. Leadership wanted to separate true incremental stays and upsells from “accidental qualifiers” who received the discount without changing behavior to understand the promotion’s net impact on revenue and ROI.

Using APT’s Test & Learn® platform and matched control hotels, the marketing team isolated the promotion’s lift, accurately quantifying incremental stays and upsells and showing that their revenue gains more than offset accidental discounts.
