JV Multimedia, a company founded by Justin Vincent, needed to create a native iPad strategy game with a fast AI but wanted to avoid learning Objective-C and instead leverage their existing JavaScript skills. They partnered with the vendor Appcelerator and used its Titanium product to meet this challenge.

Appcelerator's solution enabled JV Multimedia to build a native-feeling app by moving the AI engine into Titanium's native layer, where JavaScript compiles to Objective-C. This resulted in AI performance that ran many times faster than webview JavaScript, leading to a Top-100 iPad app and providing an easy path to port the game to other platforms.
