JV Multimedia founder Justin Vincent created Swarm SG, a deep strategy board game for iPad with up to 22 piece moves per turn and over 20 million possible outcomes per move. He needed a fully native, responsive iPad experience and a fast single-player AI but wanted to stay with his JavaScript skills rather than learn Objective‑C.

Using Appcelerator Titanium, Vincent built a native-feeling app that preserves game state and moved the AI engine from the web view into Titanium’s native layer so JavaScript compiles to Objective‑C. The result: a Top‑100 iPad app with AI that runs many times faster than webview JavaScript, plus an easy path to port the game to Android, desktop and other platforms.
