Grofers, an India-based hyperlocal delivery platform, was struggling to keep up with rapid growth as order volume rose and weekend traffic caused database crashes and manual delivery coordination to break down. The company needed a scalable way to automate logistics and improve its customer experience, and it chose Apigee/Google Cloud Platform tools to help modernize the delivery system.

Using Apigee, Grofers built a new backend and mobile apps to automate driver assignment and order dispatch. The solution helped the company scale from 10,000 to more than 70,000 orders per day, increase deliveries per driver from five to nearly 15, and maintain 100% uptime, all while keeping infrastructure costs low.
