Case Study: Sheffield City Council achieves £100,000+ ECO funding for district heating replacement with Anthesis

A Anthesis Case Study

Preview of the Sheffield City Council Case Study

Anthesis was commissioned by Sheffield City Council to source funding to replace the heating system boilers for the large residential Pedley Estate through its District Heating scheme

Sheffield City Council needed to maintain the smooth and efficient operation of the heating systems for its residential housing estates, specifically the large Pedley Estate which uses a District Heating scheme. Their challenge was sourcing funding to replace the aging boilers, a project for which they engaged the vendor Anthesis.

Anthesis determined the council's eligibility by conducting SAP surveys to calculate potential carbon savings. They then successfully secured over £100,000 in Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding for Sheffield City Council using their unique Ofgem-approved methodology. This funding allowed the heating system upgrades to proceed, ensuring residents received more reliable and efficient heating and hot water.
