Rolls-Royce faced the challenge of attracting a diverse range of skilled IT professionals to drive its digital transformation. In a highly competitive market, the company's reputation was primarily as an engineering and automotive firm, which caused misconceptions and made it difficult to attract top tech talent. AMS's Talent Advisory team was engaged to help address this talent gap and improve the company's appeal to a more diverse candidate pool.
AMS developed a comprehensive and inclusive employer branding campaign for Rolls-Royce titled "Be an IT pioneer at Rolls-Royce." The solution included a new IT careers webpage, social videos, a hero film, and targeted advertising on channels like Spotify and TED. This approach successfully generated over 3,800 applications, with 40% coming from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic candidates. AMS's strategy resulted in 119 new IT hires, enabling Rolls-Royce to continue its transformation with a more diverse team.
