Closing the autism employment gap

The UK’s National Autistic Society partnered with AMS on its Autism at Work programme. The challenge was to launch AMS's first neurodiversity hiring pilot at its Belfast Global Client Service Centre by ring-fencing roles for autistic candidates, which required expert guidance on the entire hiring and onboarding process.

AMS implemented the solution in collaboration with the National Autistic Society, which provided end-to-end support. This included job design, interview adjustments, and extensive autism training for hiring teams. As a result, AMS successfully hired two autistic employees, significantly increased neurodiversity awareness, and saw global growth in its neurodiversity employee resource group.
