BMW faced a challenge introducing the i8 in North America before mass production began, with no physical vehicle available for consumers to see. To help educate shoppers, BMW worked with Amobee, along with Universal McCann Worldwide and Editions by AOL, on a mobile campaign using Amobee’s 3D ad unit and virtual showroom experience.
Amobee delivered an immersive mobile creative that let users explore the futuristic BMW i8 in a dynamic, interactive format. The campaign exceeded benchmarks with a 100% average rich media engagement rate increase and a 420% rich media expansion rate increase; it also generated engagement 2.1 times above display benchmarks and was featured in the IAB Tablet Creative Showcase.
