KT Transforms Charging Operations with Amdocs Enabling Rapid Service Introduction

KT Corporation, South Korea’s largest quad-play service provider, needed to modernize its disparate charging operations as part of a broader transformation ahead of the 2018 Winter Olympics and future 5G services. Working with Amdocs, KT aimed to unify charging and product management across fixed, mobile, broadband Internet, and digital TV lines while supporting more than 30 million postpaid customers.

Amdocs implemented a single real-time convergent charging system and a single product catalog, along with analytics, testing, training, and support services. The result was an overnight migration of all 30 million customers with no impact to service quality, faster launch of personalized services, and lower total cost of ownership.
