AT&T and Amdocs Collaborate to Deliver Open Software Solutions to Accelerate Network Function Virtualization

AT&T wanted to help service providers and cloud developers meet growing network demands from virtual reality, IoT, 4K video, and other next-gen applications. To do that, AT&T created ECOMP, its open-source software platform for software-centric networking and NFV, and brought in Amdocs to help integrate and deploy it for companies looking to build their own network services.

Amdocs served as the integrator for AT&T’s ECOMP platform, helping organizations implement the open-source software in their networks and extend it globally. The collaboration aimed to improve service agility, shorten time to launch new services, automate network management, and simplify network environments, while driving operational and capital savings through more software-driven networks.
