Ticketmaster - Customer Case Study

Ticketmaster, North America’s leading online ticketing platform, partnered with MarketShare to build Pricemaster, a dynamic ticket‑pricing application that needed to handle heavy, fluctuating analytic workloads with limited upfront capital. To meet these challenges they adopted an AWS‑based architecture that included services such as Amazon EC2, RDS, Elastic MapReduce and Amazon SES as part of the infrastructure.

The solution—deployed on AWS and using components including Amazon SES—gave Pricemaster on‑demand scalability, easier cluster management and seamless data processing. As a result, the team reduced developers’ infrastructure‑management time by three hours per day and estimates annual cost savings of more than 80%, while improving scalability and enabling further feature expansion.
