Glenmede Trust Company, a financial services firm with 329 benefits-eligible employees, had moved to a full-replacement HSA plan but faced employee pressure to bring back a traditional co-pay option. To give staff choice while ensuring they made informed decisions for 2015, HR partnered with ALEX to better support employees through the enrollment process.
ALEX interviewed employees about their personal situations and delivered clear, personalized recommendations and financial explanations for each plan. The guidance shifted choices dramatically: only 12 employees enrolled in the co-pay plan (3.6%), 78.4% chose the HSA, and 18% waived coverage, with employees reporting that ALEX made the options easy to understand.
