Case Study: PCMag achieves $30,000+ in first-year savings by bringing surveys in-house with Alchemer

A Alchemer Case Study

PCMag - Customer Case Study

PCMag, a leading authority on technology, faced rising costs and limited flexibility from outsourcing its Reader’s Choice and related surveys (about 12–16 per year). To bring survey building and data collection in-house, PCMag turned to Alchemer (formerly SurveyGizmo) to replace the outside research firm and regain control over design and timing.

Using Alchemer, Features Editor Eric Griffith built and managed surveys internally (with Ben Gottesman handling exports and pivot-table analysis), running 1–2 surveys monthly with 1,500–8,000 responses each and reusing logic to speed production. The switch to Alchemer saved PCMag more than $30,000 in the first year, lowered per-survey costs, and improved turnaround and analytical efficiency.
