Welbeck Electricity Distribution Ltd, a contractor for a major telecom company, faced the challenge of high costs and unreliability from diesel backup generators at a large data centre in Lagos. They partnered with Aggreko to develop a cost-effective and reliable alternative power solution to ensure zero downtime for the facility.

Aggreko installed five QSK 60 gas generators, providing a total of 5 MW of power. This solution achieved a 40% cost saving compared to diesel and guaranteed 97% availability with zero downtime since its 2018 installation. The project's success led to further contracts with the end client and established Aggreko as a trusted technical partner.
