Case Study: KLM achieves rapid global contract turnaround and major sustainability savings with Adobe Sign

A Adobe Case Study

Preview of the KLM Case Study

Leading airline uses Adobe Sign for alliance partnerships, initiating corporate rollout, and supporting company sustainability goals

KLM, the Netherlands’ flagship airline and an Air France–KLM subsidiary, needed to streamline a heavy volume of global partner and corporate agreements while reducing courier expenses and aligning with its CSR commitments. The company lacked visibility into the signing process, relied on paper and couriers, and faced lengthy internal approval times.

KLM adopted Adobe Sign (Adobe Document Cloud) across its sales organization, cutting internal contract turnaround from weeks to about 28 hours and achieving a 63% e-sign completion rate (98% of sales contracts in the Netherlands). The rollout improved tracking and partner experience, reduced courier use, and eliminated printing of one million pages—saving 120 trees and nearly 10 million liters of water—while enabling faster, more accountable contract workflows.
