Case Study: IBM achieves 20% faster course development and scalable multi‑channel learning content with Adobe Technical Communication Suite (Adobe)

A Adobe Case Study

Preview of the IBM Case Study

IBM efficiently creates high-quality, multi-channel learning materials using Adobe Technical Communication Suite

IBM, a global technology leader, needed to streamline development of hundreds of training courses across topics like AI, cloud, and security. The challenge was to convert subject-matter experts’ PowerPoint and Word content into consistent, high-quality, multi-channel learning materials quickly, without maintaining multiple source versions, while simplifying metadata management and meeting accessibility requirements.

IBM solved this by building IBM Class Author integrated with Adobe Technical Communication Suite and FrameMaker to automate document conversions, enforce templates, use conditional text for single-source multi‑output, and store metadata in a master XML file with round-trip editing to SMEs’ preferred tools. The result: course development is 20% faster, creators can generate multiple output types from one source, metadata updates propagate automatically across files, accessibility compliance is simplified, and developers spend less time formatting and more on content quality.
