BBVA, the global bank based in Bilbao, Spain, set out to grow its digital customer base, elevate mobile as a key channel, and become more data-driven and personalized. To support this transformation, BBVA used Adobe Target as part of Adobe Experience Cloud to improve digital experiences across its web and mobile channels.

With Adobe Target, BBVA ran more than 1,000 A/B tests and continuously optimized its customer journeys, helping it personalize experiences and fix issues faster. The results were substantial: BBVA increased its digital client base by 120% in five years, grew its global customer base from 66 million to 79 million, reached a 50/50 split between online and traditional communications, served more than 46% of clients on mobile, and recovered millions in revenue after an Adobe Target test uncovered a sales-funnel bug.
