Daimler launches Ask Mercedes in 7 months with Adesso

Daimler faced the challenge of helping customers navigate the increasing complexity of their modern vehicles, moving away from traditional instruction manuals. To address this, they partnered with vendor Adesso to develop the "Ask Mercedes" application, an AI and augmented reality-powered virtual assistant.

Adesso implemented a solution using an agile approach to build a manufacturer-independent IT infrastructure with an "intelligent" information hub at its core. The result was the successful launch of the Ask Mercedes app, which provides interactive, natural language support and has been rolled out in multiple initial markets. The project also established a scalable platform for future chatbot applications across other Daimler departments.
