Case Study: Energy Technology Partnership (ETP) achieves streamlined project management and real-time pipeline visibility with Act!

A Act! Case Study

Preview of the Energy Technology Partnership Case Study

Act! brings new energy to organization

The Energy Technology Partnership (ETP) is an alliance of 12 Scottish universities with some 250 academics and 600 researchers working across wind, marine, solar and biomass technologies. Project manager Brian Cross and his seven business development managers handle roughly 120–130 projects at once across multiple institutions, creating a need for clear, up-to-the-minute visibility, consistent records and reliable reporting to funders to ensure timely allocation of funds and project accountability.

ETP adopted Act! CRM so each team member records every conversation, meeting and project detail, enabling real-time pipeline reporting and an audit trail for funders. Within a year the organization was more organized and productive, able to track outcomes such as job creation and company turnover by project, generate instant progress reports, and benefit from a more user-friendly, customizable system — with plans to extend use into emarketing.
