TotalEnergies secures 5,000 assets at a French refinery with ACOEM

The customer, TotalEnergies, faced a challenge in ensuring the reliability and availability of over 5,000 assets at one of its major French refineries. The primary difficulties were managing lubrication activities and analyzing measurements taken by general maintenance companies. To address this, they partnered with vendor ACOEM.

ACOEM implemented a predictive maintenance solution under an Advisor contract, which included deploying two resident experts on-site. Their service involved vibration monitoring for 1,600 critical machines and rigorous lubrication management for 3,400 points. The results included a significant reduction in unplanned outages, extended component lifespans, and improved transparency for maintenance planning. This transformed ACOEM's role into a technical partnership, acting as an extension of the TotalEnergies maintenance team.
