A major nuclear power site in Europe faced the challenge of monitoring over 700 critical data channels across its dry cooling towers. The high-humidity environment, significant tower height, and long cable runs posed a risk of undetected equipment faults that could compromise safety and lead to costly downtime. To address this, they partnered with ACOEM for a tailored monitoring solution.
ACOEM implemented a customized system using 24 MV-x units for vibration analysis and NEST software for centralized supervision. This solution enabled real-time monitoring of over 800 data channels, including 18 motor-reducers, for early fault detection. The system integrated seamlessly with the client's existing infrastructure without requiring cabling modifications, reducing the risk of unplanned shutdowns and improving overall plant reliability.
