Westpac New Zealand Prepares for Real-Time Payments

Westpac New Zealand, one of New Zealand’s largest full-service banks with more than 1.3 million customers, needed to prepare for real-time payments and handle the high expected volume and operational demands of its clients. To support that goal, Westpac NZ worked with ACI Worldwide and its real-time payments solution.

ACI Worldwide implemented its real-time payments solution as a financial transaction hub within Westpac NZ’s existing environment, using Agile and DevOps practices to support payments across channels, networks and payment types. The bank said it redeployed twice on go-live day without any impact on performance while processing more than $1 billion in transactions, and it also reported faster time to market, more innovation and lower risk in a real-time payments environment.
