Prognosis Helps Fifth Third Processing Solutions Unlock The Value of its Information

Fifth Third Processing Solutions, a Cincinnati-based payment processor, needed deeper, real-time insight into performance and transactions flowing through its distributed point-of-sale applications so it could detect problems faster, handle queries effectively and proactively notify affected merchants. To meet this need the organization worked with ACI Worldwide (as an authorized reseller) to deploy the Prognosis Financial Transaction Manager solution (the Prognosis “generic trawler”) for detailed transaction visibility.

ACI Worldwide delivered the Prognosis solution, customized by Prognosis Consulting Services, to ingest POS logs, “slice and dice” transaction data and produce real-time dashboards, alerts and reports. The implementation reduced monitoring and staff costs, provided updates every few seconds, improved detection of high-denial events, sped problem resolution, and supported capacity planning and validation of server upgrades—enabling Fifth Third Processing Solutions to contact customers proactively and significantly improve transaction monitoring and overall service responsiveness.
