Auchan Retail, a global grocery retailer with 2,000 sales points, €32.9B+ in revenue and extensive omnichannel services, faced the challenge of delivering frictionless, secure payments at scale across countries, channels and hybrid services. To meet this, Auchan partnered with ACI Worldwide, leveraging ACI’s payments orchestration portfolio—including eCommerce, tokenization and ACI® Fraud Management™—to provide an agnostic, flexible platform that can integrate with existing systems and emerging technologies.

ACI Worldwide implemented a merchant payments platform with AI-driven fraud controls, 3DS, tokenization and support for contactless, eWallet and subscription payments, and helped pilot the cashier-free Auchan Go store. The solution delivers seamless omnichannel journeys, securely manages some 9 million eCommerce transactions annually, improves acceptance rates (where a one-point lift can mean several million euros in revenue), and future-proofs Auchan’s payment ecosystem while reducing risk and enabling new hybrid services.
