First Hawaiian Bank Manages Payments Modernization with the SaaS-Based ACI® High Value Real-Time Payments™ Solution

First Hawaiian Bank (FHB), Hawaii’s oldest and largest bank, needed to manage the operational impact of a corporate divestiture while maintaining real-time wires and cross‑border payments without increasing internal technical or operational resources. Having previously used the ACI High Value Real-Time Payments solution, FHB engaged vendor ACI Worldwide to retain that capability as it transitioned to an independent institution.

ACI Worldwide implemented a SaaS-based, managed service of its ACI High Value Real-Time Payments solution from its private data center, taking on maintenance, compliance, uptime monitoring, HELP24 support, automated reporting and sanctions screening to reduce FHB’s operational burden and risk. The managed approach delivered a smooth launch during the divestiture with uninterrupted customer service, preserved high customer‑satisfaction, lowered internal resource requirements, and enabled ongoing projects such as ISO 20022 readiness and an integrated payables solution for corporate clients.
