A ACI Worldwide Case Study
The European-Based Banking Institution had grown rapidly through acquisitions and was left with a patchwork of payment processing systems and comparatively low straight-through processing (STP) rates. To centralize high-value, international, wholesale and corporate payments it created a Shared International Payments Center (SIPC) built around ACI Worldwide’s Money Transfer System as the central hub for complex transactions.
ACI Worldwide’s Money Transfer System was deployed in the SIPC with a “switch and converter box” that dynamically routes transactions either to ACI’s platform for complex payments or to the bank’s in‑house SEPA engine for standardized low‑value flows. The solution delivered STP rates above 95% across all payment types, sharply reduced claims, improved staff productivity and lower operating costs, enabling the bank to offer more competitive pricing to customers.
