Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, was hampered by a fragmented, manual recognition system that was inconsistent, hard to track and often bypassed by managers. That made it difficult to align rewards with strategic goals, measure outcomes, and sustain employee engagement.
In 2010 Meridian consolidated programs with Achievers’ SaaS solution, iApplaudu@Meridian — a configurable, points-based recognition portal with a full rewards catalog and global support. Adoption rose to 98%, 96% of recognitions were tied to business results, and employee engagement improved (score rose from 3.96 to 4.13; employees who feel recognized increased from 44% to 51%), with the most engaged employees delivering substantially higher revenue and margin growth.
