Case Study: Ricoh achieves higher employee engagement and a recognition-driven culture with Achievers

A Achievers Case Study

Preview of the Ricoh Case Study

How Ricoh created a more engaged workforce

Ricoh, a Tokyo‑headquartered global technology company with around 100,000 employees, was undergoing leadership and cultural change and needed to move away from an entitlement‑led culture toward one that promotes recognition, joy and everyday positive behaviors. The challenge was to embed those behaviors company‑wide with a user‑friendly, low‑administration solution that emphasized social recognition over reward spend.

Ricoh implemented Achievers’ employee recognition platform, launching the “Red‑e” program in April 2019 and integrating it with existing systems like Workday. The social, mobile‑first solution increased everyday recognition and engagement—employee survey scores rose from 6.7 to 7.3 and member activation reached 90%—helping staff feel more connected and improving the overall employee experience.
