A AccuRev Case Study
Alaska Airlines (with Horizon Air) needed to move its Microsoft .NET development to an Agile model but was held back by a file‑based SCM that required time‑consuming manual processes. After evaluating 18 tools and piloting finalists, the airline selected Micro Focus AccuRev to replace its legacy system and support its 12 development teams across eCommerce, Flight Operations, Finance and BI.
AccuRev became the center of their ALM strategy, providing a centralized, secure repository that now manages nearly 1,000 applications for 80–100 projects, stream‑based multistage CI, cross‑stream linking to guarantee correct DLLs, and automated builds using CruiseControl and VMware. The change standardized QA and testing, increased reuse and traceability, enabled Agile practices, and delivered major gains in productivity — including an effective savings of more than US$400,000 per year and broader adoption across the organization.
