SuperShuttle Drastically Increases Engagement with Social Networks

SuperShuttle, America’s leading shared-ride shuttle service, wanted to boost engagement with its social network pages by making social icons more prominent in the website footer. To validate a redesigned footer and measure clicks, SuperShuttle used AB Tasty’s A/B testing platform, leveraging the Edit HTML and Add CSS feature to run a controlled experiment.

AB Tasty helped SuperShuttle run a ten-day A/B test (50/50 traffic split) that removed LinkedIn and app icons and refocused the footer on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Instagram; a developer launched the test in about 30 minutes. The new variation produced dramatic uplifts: +1129% clicks to Google Plus, +335% to Facebook, +635% to Twitter and a 0.15% conversion rate on Instagram, demonstrating AB Tasty’s clear, measurable impact on social engagement.
