Olympique Lyonnais - Customer Case Study

Olympique Lyonnais (interview with Jean-Arnaud Eyme, Head of e‑Commerce) runs an online shop with over 600 products and was focused on converting quality traffic, increasing average order size and enriching its customer database. To run fast, scientific UI and merchandising tests in‑house despite a limited support contract, OL adopted AB Tasty’s testing and customisation modules to iterate on page content and funnels without heavy reliance on technical teams.

Using AB Tasty, OL ran A/B tests on product pages (text size, price tag and “add to basket” button size/colour — the winning variant enlarged elements with a red price/button) and a five‑page funnel experiment that removed the horizontal nav, search and footer for 50% of users. The funnel test produced a measurable lift in conversions and average basket size; smaller page changes produced the optimal combination for higher conversions, while one neutral test (removing the left menu) validated keeping the original layout. AB Tasty’s rapid campaign creation and on‑platform customisation let OL deploy these changes quickly and independently.
