Pets at Home, the UK’s largest pet care business, found shoppers were overlooking recommended products at the bottom of product pages after adding items to their basket. To address this visibility problem, Pets at Home worked with Good Growth using AB Tasty’s A/B testing platform to test a simple fix that would drive more engagement with recommendations.
AB Tasty implemented an anchor-link variation that automatically scrolled users to the recommended-products section when they clicked “add to basket.” The test reached statistical significance after three weeks and, when run on desktop and mobile, delivered a +23% increase in clicks on recommended products, a +1.2% uplift in average order value and a +2.2% increase in items per transaction.
