Experience, a ticketing and live-event platform, wanted to keep fans engaged during off-seasons by increasing SMS sign-ups for alerts when tickets or upgrades become available. To test what messaging would drive more opt-ins on mobile web (embedded in partner apps), Experience partnered with AB Tasty to run an A/B test of three different CTA text variations using a client-side setup via a WebView.
AB Tasty implemented the test and served three CTA variations on mobile pages; Variation 3 — which led with the benefit (“Want to be the first to know…”) — won, delivering a 50% increase in clicks to the CTA. The experiment, informed by Customer Success feedback and launched ahead of the high season, helped Experience reduce dead-ends in the funnel and significantly boost SMS opt-in engagement.
