CleanChoice Energy Drives Lead Gen with Pop-In

CleanChoice Energy, a leading U.S. 100% renewable energy supplier, worked with AB Tasty to improve lead capture from top-of-funnel traffic. Although campaigns drove highly engaged visitors, many weren’t ready to convert, so CleanChoice and AB Tasty tested a timed email pop-in (via AB Tasty’s experimentation platform) to surface a signup opportunity within 15 seconds on targeted pages instead of relying on a bottom-page button.

AB Tasty implemented the timed pop-in across three test pages and ran A/B tests; the change produced an average 204% increase in email submissions (730.8% on “The Difference,” 113.5% on the homepage, and 100% on “The Simple Things”). Based on these measurable gains, CleanChoice Energy made the pop-in permanent and continued working with AB Tasty to trial messaging variations for other funnel stages.
