TMW Systems selects 8x8 to provide cloud-based hosted PBX and unified communications services to 500 employees in seven U.S. and Canadian locations

TMW Systems, a Cleveland-based transportation and logistics software provider serving thousands of customers and directing hundreds of thousands of trucks worldwide, struggled with a complex, leased Cisco IP telephony system that produced frequent call-quality problems, required costly outside specialists to provision and maintain, and revealed single-point-of-failure risks after a major power/outage incident.

In 2011 TMW replaced that setup with 8x8’s Virtual Office Pro cloud service, deploying redundant Internet links and Polycom phones and upgrading LAN/WAN bandwidth for QoS. The move eliminated the capital lease, shifted to predictable OPEX, improved call quality and disaster resilience, simplified user provisioning, reduced IT telecom workload, and added features like single-number reach, universal softphones and robust diagnostics from 8x8’s help desk.
