A 8x8 Case Study
TSI, a 27-year-old Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that provides electronic design automation software, training and consulting from offices across the U.S., was struggling with an aging analog phone system that was costly to maintain, lacked modern features, and made it difficult to connect geographically distributed staff. Moving its home office prompted the company to look for a simpler, low‑maintenance solution that could tie its locations together and reduce telecom expenses.
TSI deployed 8x8 Virtual Office, replacing its analog PBX with a hosted VoIP virtual PBX, new phones and a high-end router. The system integrated with Outlook, enabled easy conferencing and automatic call forwarding to cell phones if Internet failed, and eliminated separate conferencing and 800-number costs. The result was a more professional, productive, and economical phone environment with lower ongoing maintenance and improved remote connectivity.
