Gaia is a Boulder-based streaming video subscription service available in 185 countries that had recently spun out from its parent company and needed to modernize its communications. 8x8 migrated Gaia to cloud telephony and the 8x8 Work app, replacing desk phones with virtual numbers and easy-to-use apps that required minimal training. The rollout was stable and swift (no downtime during migration), cut monthly phone costs by roughly 50%, and freed up IT time and budget to invest in new features and initiatives.
