Artco Group, a multi‑site heavy plate steel manufacturer headquartered in White Plains, NY, had grown to more than 250 employees across facilities in Ohio and Texas but was hampered by an aging on‑premises NEC phone system. Hard drive and controller failures, poor voice quality (especially over decades‑old copper wiring), complex VPN/broadband interactions, and an inability to scale down or recover quickly from outages made phone service unreliable and costly.

Artco moved to 8x8 Virtual Office cloud VoIP after a successful pilot, porting 82 lines in about 3–4 weeks.
