Buydig.com (and sister site BeachCamera.com) is a growing online retailer of cameras and consumer electronics based in Edison, NJ. Rapid growth exposed limits in their legacy Toshiba PBX—which could only handle 46 concurrent calls—and left the company without modern features like DIDs, mobile access, voicemail email and contact-center visibility, causing missed calls and constraining expansion.
Buydig.com migrated to 8x8’s Virtual Office and Virtual Contact Center, deploying preconfigured Polycom phones, a mobile app, DID lines and supervisor tools with no downtime thanks to network upgrades (gigabit PoE switches and 1 Gbps fiber). The cloud solution delivered real-time queue visibility, easier queue management, call recording and scalability—providing more functionality for about the same cost and removing capacity limits so the business can grow.
