The Chopped Leaf is a fast-casual chain growing across Canada and the U.S.; franchisees Sheila and Darren MacDonald operate two British Columbia locations that opened in 2017. Though they loved the concept, Sheila—new to foodservice—struggled with time-consuming, manual scheduling and scattered staff communication (texts, email, WhatsApp), and a prior scheduling tool proved glitchy.

After piloting 7shifts at her stores, Sheila centralized scheduling and labor forecasting in one intuitive app that integrates with the POS. Scheduling time dropped from about 5–6 hours to 1–2 hours per week, staff questions fell, coverage and hours are easier to monitor with visual tools, and managers can view multiple locations—freeing up Sheila to focus on growth and work–life balance.
