Fork and Bottle is Zurich’s farm-to-table restaurant housed in a renovated cantina with a 275‑seat garden that draws locals and expats for busy weekend brunches. As the operation grew to a 19‑person team, manager Nick Silvestri faced time-consuming, paper-based scheduling, frequent weather-driven shift changes, and increasing labor-management complexity.
In 2016 they implemented 7shifts, using its mobile app, shift-swapping, and labor-budget tools to centralize schedules and communicate changes instantly. The platform cut scheduling time by 50–60%, streamlined month‑end reporting, reduced manager interruptions, improved staff satisfaction and communication, helped control labor costs, and will be used for future restaurant expansions.
