PayPal’s TIO Networks needed a reliable way to create a single customer view across multiple acquired businesses for M&A, business intelligence, and customer analytics. Their existing Microsoft SQL Server fuzzy matching and SSIS-based processes could not accurately dedupe millions of records or unify customer data at the scale they required, making it hard to understand their business footprint and performance.
360Science implemented its mSQL customer data matching engine inside PayPal’s existing SQL Server and SSIS workflows, allowing TIO Networks to match and unify customer records without moving data out of the environment. The solution delivered faster, more accurate matching and easier implementation, helping PayPal quickly build a clearer customer picture across 16 million consumer accounts and more than 60 million transactions totaling $7 billion in bill payments.
