A 24i Case Study
The Chilean telecommunications company Entel sought to adapt to evolving consumer viewing habits by moving its TV service over-the-top (OTT) to reach a wide array of devices. To achieve this, Entel partnered with vendor 24i to build a modern, aggregated TV platform that could deliver live, restart, and catch-up content.
Using 24i's Big Screen SDK and Smart Apps solutions, a custom user interface was deployed across Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV set-top boxes (STBs), and mobile devices. This solution established Entel as a super-aggregator, seamlessly integrating popular apps like Netflix and HBO Max with its own live TV offering. The project, which began in 2015, successfully expanded Entel’s service reach and provided customers with a unified and flexible viewing experience on any screen.
