Zyxel WiFi Wave Hits Italian Lakeside Hotel

Hotel Forte Charme, a four-star lakeside hotel on Lake Garda in Italy, wanted to upgrade its WiFi after a change in management revealed that guest connectivity was falling short. To meet the challenge of integrating new wireless infrastructure into the existing network with minimal day-to-day burden on staff, the hotel worked with Zyxel and its Nebula Solution.

Zyxel implemented a cloud-managed network built around Nebula Control Center, deploying 19 Nebula access points, GS1920 smart managed switches, and a ZyWALL USG110 security gateway. The result was split VPNs and separate WiFi services for guests and staff, with remote management handled by the system integrator so hotel employees could focus on service. The upgrade delivered broad, managed connectivity with no meaningful staff overhead, helping guests share their “selfies” while improving network control and security.
