Zyxel Tech Powers Summit to Help 120 Mayors Make Our Cities Smart

Taipei Computer Association needed to deliver reliable, secure wireless connectivity for the 2018 Smart City Summit & Expo in Taipei, including 80 tablets for presentations and hundreds of attendees’ devices in a high-density, interference-heavy environment. The organization turned to Zyxel for a wireless solution that could support the event’s demanding networking and security requirements.

Zyxel deployed six WAC6503D-S smart antenna access points, a ZyWALL 110 VPN firewall, and a GS2210-8HP PoE switch to provide robust WiFi coverage, strong VPN security, and simplified network power and traffic management. The solution supported up to 500 devices at a time, protected attendee data, and helped the summit run smoothly, with Charles Huang reporting that the wireless application was very effective and appreciated by guests.
