Preview of the Yekaterinburg Municipal Construction Agency Case Study

Zyxel Saves Russian Municipal Construction Agency From Wild-West WiFi Nightmare

Yekaterinburg Municipal Construction Agency, a government organization in Russia, needed a modern network for a new office while it was still being built. The agency had to stay within a strict public budget, support future growth, and replace a messy, unreliable setup with centralized WiFi and structured wired connectivity. Zyxel was chosen to provide the networking infrastructure.

Zyxel implemented a switching solution built around 16 Zyxel switches, including GS1900 series models, along with Zyxel ONE Network Utility for simplified setup and management. The new network also included 11 NWA5123-AC access points to provide centralized wireless coverage and roaming across the office. The project was completed by a five-person team in 20 days, giving the agency a scalable, well-managed network ready for more workstations and expanded wireless use.
