ZyXEL Provides Reliable and High-Quality Netwo for Hungarian Olympic Centre in Szeged

The Olympic Centre of Szeged, a major Hungarian sports venue for kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and other events, needed a reliable high-performance network to cover both buildings and open-air facilities, along with an IPTV system for multiple TV sets. Zyxel was selected to help deliver a stable Wi‑Fi and TV infrastructure using smart managed switches, fiber L2 switches, and HD IP set-top boxes.

Zyxel implemented a network built on its GS1910 and XGS3600 switch series plus STB2101HD set-top boxes, using VLANs and central SNMP-based management to separate traffic and support streaming video. The new infrastructure proved highly stable during competition, handling up to 1,500 Wi‑Fi connections under heavy load while providing reliable, high-quality access across the venue and transforming the old analog TV system into future-proof IPTV.
