ZyXEL Helps Best Western Deliver a First-class Service

Best Western International, the world’s largest hotel brand, needed a way to provide affordable high-speed Internet access for business travelers across its largely independently owned properties. To meet the challenge, Best Western worked with Zyxel and its endorsed hospitality reseller BestComm Networks to design a solution that would be easy for individual hotel owners to adopt and deliver reliable guest connectivity at a minimal cost.

Zyxel implemented a network built around the ZyXEL ES2024A Layer 2 managed switch, a public gateway, and Zyxel wireless access points. The pilot covered 15% of rooms at the end of 2004 and performed well enough that Best Western selected Zyxel again in 2006 for a full rollout to 100% of its rooms, showing that the solution scaled successfully across the chain.
