Zyxel GPON Solution Revives Triple-Play Service at Thai Luxury Villas

Sai Taan Villa Phuket, a luxury hospitality property in Thailand, needed to fix unreliable triple-play service across its 50 villas. Its existing VDSL wiring suffered from weak signals over long distances, limiting broadband performance for IPTV, WiFi, and VoIP. Zyxel stepped in with a GPON-based networking approach to replace the aging copper infrastructure.

Zyxel implemented its GPON Solution using the OLT2406 chassis-based GPON OLT and PMG5318-B20C fiber-optic ONTs to deliver stable, high-bandwidth connectivity throughout the estate. The new fiber network solved the distance problem, improved service quality for TV, data, and voice, and provided a durable, non-corrosive setup that can span up to 20 km. The result was faster, more stable connectivity and a scalable infrastructure ready for future bandwidth upgrades.
