Zyxel GPON Solution Gives Thai Boutique Resort Cutting-Edge Triple-Play Service

Isaan-Isan Boutique Resort, a new boutique hotel in Khao Yai, Thailand, needed a modern network that could deliver triple-play services—IPTV, VoIP, and high-speed internet—to every guest room across its wide property. The resort also wanted reliable Power-over-Ethernet support for security cameras in areas without electrical outlets, while keeping costs reasonable and ensuring scalability and strong vendor support. Zyxel was selected to help meet these requirements with its GPON solution.

Zyxel implemented a GPON network built around the OLT1404A 1U Pizza Box 4-port GPON OLT and PMG5318-B20C wireless GPON ONTs in guest rooms, plus XGS2210-28 and GS1900 Series switches for core, reception, and guard-house connectivity. The result was a cost-effective, durable, and secure network that delivers HD IPTV, clear VoIP, and fast internet throughout the resort, while PoE made CCTV deployment possible without extra wiring. Zyxel also helped lower energy usage and maintenance compared with alternative solutions.
